Draft Logo

I am not the best artist, but this design will contain a football because that is what my story is about. I hope to place unique designs within the football to make it appear more lively.

The final draft turned out to be much better than the rough draft for a list of reasons. I spoke with my mother about the lack of photos I had to work with and how it made me lose creativity. She informed me she had full albums of photos she had taken of me that I could use at my disposal. This made working on my final project much more enjoyable and I was able to learn a great deal about Photoshop. This photo was inspired by pictures they do of NFL players for when they get drafted to a new team. The design process started off with the idea I had for my final project which was something similar to a poster. I had watched several Youtube videos to improve my skills and take advantage of new techniques. Using the marquee tool was crucial for the success of this project because I was able to put a few of my favorite photos in front of a background. From my first project I was playing around with the gradient filters and grew attached to them. I still wanted to find a way to implement them into my final project so I applied it to the background and I think it turned out nice. Since the story is about my life experience with football I think this image will be a great cover photo.

For my project I decided to use a photo that I own that was taken by my mother. This photo is used as a cover image to the story I wish to tell because it is a photo of me. The design photo that inspired me the most was one of the examples you provided. The best one in my opinion was The Legend of Matt, I thought it was very well done and also funny. I used the gradient filter to emphasize the colors that were previously there. The school I attended was yellow and black so I liked how it looked when the yellow was brightened. This project was very difficult for me because I had a hard time finding photos that would relate to my topic without having to spend extra money. I don’t have many photos of myself playing anymore so this was one of the only photos I could find. I really struggled with trying to learn how to crop out parts of the background to replace with another image. My mother used this photo for my college football recruiting profile and gave me permission to use it for my school project.

These photos will be used to make an outline graphic that will help with the story.

Here are my completed tutorials.

I played football for 12 years, I started when I was only 7 and continued to play until I was 19. I chose this topic because it is something that I am knowledgeable about and I feel passionate about the subject. Throughout my years of playing I saw great success and it made me who I am today. I made many friends through football and made a name for myself in my town for my ability to play. My topic will be about my personal experience with the sport and why it went wrong for me and how to avoid the steps that I took that eventually lead to me to failure. I have many videos and clips of me playing football that I will share for my blog. I also have pictures and some audio recordings that will help convey the message I am trying to make. For unit 3 I play to make an audio recording my story through football and the rise and downfall of my career. This will be based off my experiences and the information I would like to share. In unit 4 I will use many of my clips to make a video to also share what went wrong and what went right I am most excited about this because I can learn more about video editing. My experience with football is something that I have rarely opened up about because sometimes I feel embarrassed of my actions and often wish I can return to the past to change things such as grades, actions and presentation of myself. I am comfortable sharing this story because as the years have gone by I have come to accept the fact this it is over for me and I will continue to seek new adventures and opportunities.
